Footage.net Releases New Site, Launches Footage Industry Directory
Fully Reengineered Stock Footage Search Platform Enables Faster Footage Research, Better Clip Screening and Instant Connectivity with Global Stock Footage Providers.
New York – March 22, 2010 – Footage.net (www.footage.net), the stock, archival and news footage search engine, today announced the release of its fully reengineered stock footage search platform. The new site includes an array of new features, tools and capabilities, including a Footage Industry Directory, all aimed at enhancing the ease with which creative professionals can search for and access stock footage.
“The new site will help creative professionals take control of their stock footage search projects,” said Footage.net President Domenick Propati. “Our new user interface provides researchers with the tools they need to fully utilize our vast footage database, and helps our footage partners more effectively present their stock footage collections to the global production community.”
Footage.net’s search engine has been significantly upgraded as part of the redesign, both in how search results appear, as well as in how researchers are able to manage results and communicate with Footage.net’s content partners, including ABCNEWS VideoSource, Conus Archive, Framepool, Getty Images, Global ImageWorks, Historic Films, HBO Archives, NFB Images, NBC News and many more. Footage.net provides access to a growing collection of online screening clips as well as millions of detailed text records, giving footage researchers maximum flexibility in how they discover and obtain motion content.
Footage Industry Directory
The new site also includes a Footage Industry Directory for use by both stock footage providers and researchers. The Footage.net Directory allows footage customers to find footage suppliers easily and quickly based on any number of key criteria. A basic listing in the Directory is free. The Directory is expected to grow to hundreds of stock footage, archival footage and news footage provider listings in the very near term.
