Footage.net Reaches One Million Image Milestone
Footage.net now offers access to one million screening clips from some of the world’s top footage companies through its stock footage search platform
New York - July 29, 2010 - Enabled by its new video-friendly architecture, Footage.net (www.footage.net) now offers users access to over one million screening clips from some of the world’s top footage companies. The inclusion of these world-class images brings a whole new dimension to Footage.net’s search and screening platform, and makes it one of the world’s largest online repositories of stock footage clips.
Most recently, US-based DVArchive added 70,000 clips to the platform, and Australia-based Absolutely Wild Visuals added 36,000. Earlier in 2010, Getty Images came on board with 300,000 clips, FootageBank HD added 70,000 and CriticalPast loaded 57,000. In all, clips from 17 footage collections can now be screened through the Footage.net site.
True to its roots as a text-based search engine, Footage.net remains committed to providing researchers with access to millions of detailed text records. For deep archival research, there is often no substitute for text.
