Lillian Benson’s professional body of work as a television video and feature film editor spans almost thirty years. She was nominated for an Emmy in 1990 for her work on the acclaimed Civil Rights series “Eyes On the Prize II”. "The Mitchell 20" is her current feature documentary which tells the story of twenty Arizona public school teachers who decide to make a difference. Benson edited two episodes of the recent PBS series,"God In America", as well as “Wounded Knee”, the closing episode of “We Shall Remain”, the multi-part series on Native American history. Her narrative work includes films with director Debbie Allen, as well as first-time directors.
