FOOTAGE OF STORM DAMAGE / MOS WITH RESIDENTS OF DAMAGED HOMES AND TOWNS Storms continue across eastern Oklahoma ahead of a cold front moving southeast across the state. The most significant activity is located in southeast Oklahoma where a tornado threat will continue during the night time hours. The cold front will exit Oklahoma by Friday morning. Very strong winds are expected behind the cold front on Friday. Atoka County Emergency Management reports a tornado hit the town of Tushka, south of Atoka. Injuries are reported. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner reports one fatality attributed to the tornado. Damage assessments are underway. The Oklahoma Department of Transportation reports US-69 northbound at Tushka is closed temporarily due to semi rigs and trees that are scattered on the highway. OEM staff have been deployed to the scene to assist local officials. Hominy Emergency Management reports damage 4 miles north of the city of Hominy. About a dozen power poles are down along with tree limbs. Damage reported to commercial structures, including roof damage. Pontotoc County Emergency Management reports power lines, tree limbs down in the Allen and Stonewall areas. Additional damage south of Stonewall toward Fittstown where one trailer had its roof blown off and three homes lost roofs. Also a tree fell on a car. Softball size hail reported west of Hickory. The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reports a possible tornado hit a mobile home park in the Madill area. No injuries reported. POWER OUTAGES Oklahoma Corporation Commission reports 3,326 power outages due to the storm including 698 OG&E outages in the Fittstown, Enid and Sapulpa areas and 2,628 PSO outages in the Pushmataha, Atoka and Tulsa county areas.
