John Lennon was a draftsman before being a musician. When he was recording his music and he had hours and hours of recording, he made his drawings. Wide of the auction 18. Close of Conrad bass of Paul McCartney STORYLINE One of the biggest auctions in Latin America of The Beatles' memorabilia was held on Friday in Buenos Aires. Around 500 people, most of them fans of the Fab Four, attended. 130 objects were auctioned including a bass belonging to Paul McCartney and a drawing by John Lennon. The pieces belonged to the Argentine Raul Blisniuk, who was certified in 1998 as the most important collector of Beatles' memorabilia in South America by the Guinness World Book of Records. McCartney's bass was finally sold to Argentine football star Javier Zanetti for 35-thousand US dollars, the drawing by Lennon went for 12-thousand US dollars, according to the local media. Meanwhile, the cover of the White Album with the original autographs of the Fab Four was sold for 33-thousand US dollars, with the first offer starting at 10-thousand US dollars.
