Corridor inside hospital with nurse walking STORYLINE: Four insurgents opened fire on Wednesday at a US checkpoint in the northern Iraqi city of Mosul and were shot dead by soldiers, police official Ahmed Mohamed Khalaf Al-Jibori claimed. Six others were killed in the clash, hospital security official Essam Abdul Wahed said. US military officials said they had no information on the clash, but said three suspected insurgents were killed in a clash in Mosul after soldiers stopped a taxi that exploded, injuring five soldiers.
