In the poll of thousands of VH1 viewers in the UK, Minogue took a staggering third of all the votes cast to become the clear winner. The result came amid newspaper reports - denied by her PR agent - that the singer is pregnant by French actor Olivier Martinez. It has also been claimed that she was spotted visiting lawyers to check on her financial position, should she marry Martinez. Another female star, US pop songstress Britney Spears follows Kylie in second place in the poll, in front of Robbie Williams, the highest ranking male, in third position. In at number four is a surprising entry for the scruffy teenage rocker Avril Lavigne. Another unexpected result comes for man of the moment Justin Timberlake, who fails to make the top ten, proving less sexy than long-dead Elvis Presley, and finishing only one place ahead of Eighties relics Duran Duran - currently trying to revive their careers. Other cases where age does not prove to be a barrier include ageing rock lothario Sir Mick Jagger, who is deemed to be sexier than far younger chart rivals such as Craig David and Damon Albarn. In the same vein Tom Jones and Rod Stewart are higher up the pecking order than younger musicians such as Liam Gallagher. 27-year old Emma Bunton - who failed to make the list in FHM's recent 100 sexiest women poll - is the highest ranking British female. Emma has recently undergone a raunchy image change and has relaunched her solo career with the single 'Free Me'. Of her former Spice Girls colleagues, only Geri Halliwell features in the countdown. Beauties such as Holly Valance and Jennifer Lopez have to content themselves with 12th and 7th places.
