SOUNDBITE Jennifer Lopez: "I really just wanted to do another romantic comedy, they are my favourite type of film. I know a lot of women love romantic comedies. They are definitely my favourite and after doing 'The Wedding Planner' I really wanted to do another one. (Reporter : Also you borrow the outfit from somebody, do you ever worry that someone is going to do that to you? Because you are a prime target. You have probably got loads of lovely clothes? ) SOUNDBITE Jennifer Lopez: "They could take my clothes and I probably wouldn't even notice. No, I think I could be a target for them I'm sure. " (Reporter: Has you attitude changed towards maids since you made this film?) SOUNDBITE Jennifer Lopez: "You know it absolutely gave me more of an appreciation. Because you go into hotels, and I work a lot and so I'm in and out of the hotel, you are not really paying attention to everything going on around you. After I did this movie I am like 'oh my God so much work goes into making a hotel run'. So it definitely gave me a better appreciation of it. (Reporter: Are you now known as Jennifer Lopez or J-Lo? ) SOUNDBITE Jennifer Lopez: "You know, it was always Jennifer Lopez, I just named my second album J-Lo and it kind of stuck, people took a liking to it and I don't mind. You called me Jennifer, somebody called me J-LO, call me Jenny, it's all fine." (Reporter: Will you change your name when you get married?) SOUNDBITE Jennifer Lopez: "Yes, yes I will. " (Reporter: So you will be Jen Affleck?) SOUNDBITE Jennifer Lopez: "Yes yes...yes that's what it'll be (laughs)." 8. Photocall Ralph Fiennes and Jennifer Lopez 9. SOUNDBITE Ralph Fiennes: "She is sweet, very good to work with and wonderful in this movie I think. This character suits her I think." 10. Wide shot Bob Hoskins 11. SOUNDBITE Bob Hoskins: "Obviously I had heard about Jennifer Lopez but I hadn't heard about the big empire surrounding her. She didn't come over like a big diva, she comes over like a sweet heart, she is great. " 12. Film clip - 'Maid In Manhattan' 13. Close-up Natasha Richardson 14. SOUNDBITE Natasha Richardson: "I don't know her very well, I didn't get to know her, I didn't socialise with her. I think she is a very busy woman and she doesn't have a chance to hang out with actors so..." 15. (Reporter: I have got to ask you about the wedding, have you got any plans yet. Is it going to be a dress like the one you wear at the end of the film when you walk in and steal the show?) 16. SOUNDBITE Jennifer Lopez (on what she will wear for her wedding): " It'll be a good dress, that's all I can tell you." 17. Close-up Jennifer Lopez 18. (Reporter: Have you been asked at all to clean anyones house?) SOUNDBITE Jennifer Lopez: "No, that hasn't happened yet, but it hasn't been out that long so we will have to wait and see." 19. JENNIFER LOPEZ announced last night that she would be dropping Lopez to become Mrs Jennifer Affleck when she marries her movie star fiance BEN AFFLECK. Lopez made the comments at last night's (26FEB03) London premiere of her new romantic comedy 'Maid in Manhattan', where she was joined by co-stars RALPH FIENNES, NATASHA RICHARDSON and BOB HOSKINS. Lopez spent twenty minutes signing autographs for fans outside the Odeon cinema in her skin tight Yves St Laurent dress with plunging neckline. Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck announced their engagement in December last year (2002) and J-Lo said she expected attention to wane once the couple had confirmed their intentions (despite including Affleck in her latest video 'Jenny From The Block' ) but fans and press remain hungry for every snippet of information about the couple. In her new romantic comedy Lopez plays Marisa Ventura, a single mother born and bred in the boroughs of New York City, who works as a maid in a first-class Manhattan hotel. The film sees Ralph Fiennes in his first romantic comedy with a supporting cast of stellar acting talent that includes Natasha Richardson, Bob Hoskins and Stanley Tucci. At the premiere Lopez was happy to pose for intimate pictures with Fiennes but when photographers asked her to stand with Natasha Richardson, both women froze and failed to look at, let alone touch, each other. Richardson, a serious theatre actress also making her rom-com debute in 'Maid In Manhattan', said she didn't get close to J-Lo on the set: "I don't know her very well, I didn't get to know her, I didn't socialise with her. I think she is a very busy woman and she doesn't have a chance to hang out with actors so..." In 'Maid in Manhattan' Lopez's character is persuaded one day by a friend and colleague to try on a guest's beautiful wardrobe - and she is still dressed in luxury clothes when another hotel guest walks into the suite. By this twist of fate and mistaken identity, Marisa meets Christopher Marshall (Fiennes), a handsome heir to a political dynasty, who believes that she is a guest at the hotel. Fate steps in and throws the unlikely pair together for one night. When Marisa's true identity is revealed, the two find that they are worlds apart - even though the distance separating them is just a subway ride between Manhattan and the Bronx. J-Lo was on board from the very beginning. She helped shape the plot with her friend and producer Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas, while the movie was still just an idea.
