SOT Billy Bob Thornton - "I've been asked to do numerous videos and I have never done because when you are an actor in your spare time you don't want to go and be in a video but this is a terrific song and I just love Travis as an artist." 3. BTS on video shoot 4. SOT Travis Tritt - "Every time I have been around him he is a great guy and we consistently laugh when we are around each other. Every time that Billy Bob and I have spent time together at the end of the day my stomach hurts from laughing so much and that is always a good thing." 5. BTS on video shoot 6. SOT Billy Bob Thornton - "For me it is fun to do this, to come out here with a friend and do something like this and like I said I have an enormous amount of respect for Travis, he's such a great singer and songwriter and musician. It's a real treat to be able to do this and it's real different to what I do also. You might think being an actor in a video is kind of what I do, it's really not, I don't work this way, it's different. It's different enough that I can come out and have fun, you know what I mean." 7. video clip Travis Tritt 'Modern Day Bonnie and Clyde' BILLY BOB THORNTON PLAYS CLYDE - IN MUSIC VIDEO Oscar winning actor Billy Bob Thornton is the latest actor to take on the role of renegade outlaw Travis Clyde - but in a music video. The 'Monster's Ball' actor plays the legendary outlaw in the video for Country superstar Travis Tritt's latest single, 'Modern Day Bonnie and Clyde.' Billy Bob, himself a singer/songwriter, normally turns down requests to star in other artists video but when Travis asked he said yes right away. Thornton felt he could wrap himself around the role of Travis's Clyde, on the run after holding up a convenience store with his girlfriend. He will inevitably be compared to Warren Beatty, who starred opposite Faye Dunaway in the classic 1967 film 'Bonnie and Clyde', which was shot in Texas. The music video version was shot on the edge of the Mojave Desert in California. Travis and Billy Bob first met at a recording session in Nashville when mutual friend Marty Stuart was producing Billy Bob's CD, PRIVATE RADIO. Tritt also contributed his hit, 'Anymore' to 'Daddy and Them', a film written and directed by Billy Bob. Travis has been heralded for his video work in the past. Throughout his 11 year career he has shot 27 videos including the compelling video series consisting of 'Anymore', 'Tell Me I Was Dreaming' and 'If I Lost You,' in which he portrayed Mac Singleton, a disabled American war veteran. 'Modern Day Bonnie and Clyde' is the 4th single from his platinum selling album, 'Down the Road I Go'. 'Down the Road I Go' has sold over one million copies and has already delivered two number-one singles and one number two.
