B W 1951 Biblical drama, one of a series of religious films based on the Old Testament story of Joseph, from Genesis, Chapter 40. Imprisoned in Egypt due to a misunderstanding with his benefactor, Joseph gains a reputation as an interpreter of dreams. Meanwhile, the pharoah of Egypt is disgusted because his wise men are unable to interpret a dream about seven fat cows and seven skinny ones so he sends for Joseph, who prophesizes seven years of famine for Egypt after seven years of plenty. Pharoah makes Joseph governor, and he institutes a policy of storing grain against the future famine. Joseph plans to marry his long-time love, Azenath, and wonders if the famine has reached his loved ones in Canaan. As with the others in this series, the low production values and hammy acting make for campy fun a couple of the men wear ridiculous Prince Valiant wigs. With Robert Knapp, Aline Towne, William Hudson, Jack George, Tom Backos, Carl Steppling directed by Alfred Frantz Stury. 00:50:00:00 B W 1951 ws Court scene, ancient Egypt CU pharoah on throne. 01:05:20:00 B W 1951 ws Pharoah gives gift of ring and necklace pendant to kneeling man, while courtiers look on. 01:09:18:00 B W 1951 ms Romantic kiss man and woman wear Egyptian headdresses. 01:12:18:00 B W 1951 ms Workers carry bags of grain to Egyptian overseers taking inventory.
