Description: B W 1959 Cheesy 1950s science fiction feature with some terrific phony-looking monsters Two escaped convicts hide out in a rocket ship, where they are promptly discovered by the rocket's brilliant but insane inventor, Dirk Greene Anxious to take his private ship to the moon before the US military interferes, Dirk blasts off, kidnapping the convicts for use as crew members An engaged couple, Steve and June, also wind up on the ship as stowaways (All the crew members are oddly serene about their bizarre situation) Dirk is killed when the ship passes through a meteor shower, leaving the other four to explore the moon on their own Attacked by rock monsters, they take refuge in a cave, where they are greeted by a race of beautiful moon women (who would pass for earthlings if not for their widow's peaks and ornate tiaras) The moon queen Lido is blind, and mistakes Steve for Dirk, who apparently had visited the moon years earlier When Steve is exposed as an impostor, the moon women unleash a giant spider on the earthlings, which unfortunately devours one of their own What happens next?
