SINCE THE LEAGUE RE-STARTED IN LATE MAY, AGF AARHUS HAS BEEN SHOWING THOUSANDS OF FANS SINGING AND CHEERING ALONG ON GIANT SCREENS
AGF CEO JACOB NIELSEN OPENS UP ON HOW THE PLAYERS ARE RESPONDING TO VIRTUAL FANS
--SOT--
Jacob Nielsen, CEO of AGF: It's been quite amazing We came up with this idea and we thought it was a brilliant idea, but you know that it is not everyday that this technical side works We had a great cooperation with Zoom and the fan engagement has been incredible, so the business is doing quite well although the coronavirus crisis has been a big part of the community
Jacob Nielsen, CEO of AGF: In the beginning of the corona-crisis in Denmark, the last game before everything was shut in the beginning of March, we had an away game with empty stands all over and we lost this game It was one of the only games the opponent won this season So we lack the fans, we need the atmosphere for the players, we are a big club Denmark and the players need the fans, also the away supporters, because it is a big part of our sports DNA The players love that there is some kind of atmosphere and that these screens are right down along the pitch that is very important for this environment to the game
