A doctor charged with sexual battery in Mississippi is also under investigation locally, according to Orlando police

Mehul Dixit, 59, who practiced pediatric nephrology in Florida and Mississippi, was arrested in May

He treated children with kidney and urinary tract conditions

Police accuse Dixit of sexually battering girls at the same time he was in practice Detectives believe the doctor has more victims

Dixit was arrested in Mississippi, and charged with two counts of sexual battery

He's accused of fondling two teenage patients there, 13 and 17 years old, during exams

A report issued by the Mississippi State Board of Medical Licensure notes that a 17-year-old patient in Florida also reported a sexual assault to them

In the report, the Florida victim said Dixit asked the patient's mother to leave the room, then asked the girl to remove her clothes before assaulting her

The Mississippi report says the state of Florida was not aware of this 2006 incident

Because of all of this, Orlando police put out a notice Friday, asking anyone who believes they're a victim to please come forward

WESH 2 News learned from state records, Dixit's Florida medical license was issued in 2004 and expired in 2015

AdventHealth Orlando confirmed he worked there in pediatric nephrology, but stressed he has not held privileges there since 2010
