A deal to re-sign Dennis Rodman to the NBA Chicago Bulls was announced Thursday.
LEAD: It's finally a done deal. Dennis Rodman "will" return to the Bulls this year, re-uniting with Micheal Jordan and Scottie Pippin to try and win a third straight title. The negotiations had been going on for weeks...with speculation...if Rodman didn't re-sign with the team, he'd retire. Reporter Dwight Casimere has more on the story. SCRIPT: Dennis Rodman and his agent, Dwight Manley, emerged from the from the Center after the Bulls issued a short statment. "The Chicago Bulls announced today the re-signing of vetern free agent forward Dennis Rodman to a one-year contract, As per club policy, terms of the contract were not disclosed. Rodman would only respond behind the closed tinted car window. (SOT) Micheal Jordan, though relieved by the re-signing was not amused by Rodman's starling tactics. (SOT) Coach Phil Jackson demanded that Rodman delivered the goods. (SOT) Rodman will be in uniform for Friday night's exhibition game against the Philadelphia 76ers in Chapel Hill North Carolina.
