Script | LEAD: It's time to fluff up your pillow, because we have a very special deco dream for you tonight. And this one's made of the stuff stars like Sylvester Stallone and Michael Jackson dream about. It's not about fashion, fast cars or mega-mansions... it's about art. And even though you probably can't afford it, it sure is nice to dream about it. (Take Pkg) SCRIPT: Leah's Gallery on Lincoln road could be a museum... but it's also a flea market to the rich and famous.SOT A place where celebs and moguls come to browse.SOT Except there's no bargaining in this flea market.SOT And the Gallery's grand opening late last year was quite an affair to remember... Hosted by Sylvester Stallone, a huge fan of Leah's Neo-Classical art collection.SOT Like his character in "Rocky", Sly fell in love with the passion, strength and sensitivity in Leah's collection. He scooped up the matching bronze to this powerful statue, and this botero now worth almost half a million. He paid more than a million for this 19th century white marble sculpture of Mozart. Which he promptly donated to Miami's Planned Performing Arts Center. And Leah has a ten thousand square foot warehouse filled with comparable larger-than-life-sized artwork.SOT Exactly the stuff that stars seem to relate to... Because Leah's clients include Michael Jackson, Michael Caine, and Cher. But all customers are treated like royalty.SOTSOTSOT For example: Who could pass on this solid Amethyst table, with pattinated gold decorative legs. Or this half million dollar Italien marble statue sculpted originally for the Waldorf Astoria Hotel. For those on a tighter budget -- there's a tapestry formerly owned by the King of Spain -- and you can own it for a mere 200-grand. As for this fabulous painting by Schopin, forget about it.SOTAnd neither is anything else if the buyer hasn't a clue about how to appreciate it.SOT |
