Body on stretcher, paramedics carrying stretcher into ambulance, surveillance video of man shooting store clerk, reporter standup, sot of woman, surveillance video of man robbing cash register, sot of another man.
LEAD: In Columbus a convenience store clerk was shot twice in the head during a robbery... and it was all caught on the store's surveillance camera. Jon Sherman has the story... SCRIPT: As paramedics wheeled 49 year old Ahmed Alhajmad out of Kelly's Carry Out on 4th Avenue Saturday morning...they held little hope he'd survive. This surveillance video shows in graphic detail...an armed robber shooting at the store clerk, hitting him twice in the head. SOT At this point detectives say they have few leads to go on as they track the suspect. The surveillance video doesn't offer a clear picture of the suspect..but it does give police important information...whoever this is...is loose on the world with a semi-automatic weapon...and he won't hesitate to use it. In fact the automatic clock on the video shows just 2 1/2 seconds pass, from the moment the suspect walks into the store...to the time he begins firing at least 10 consecutive shots. It's enough to scare anybody who lives nearby. SOT Because the armed man is shown taking money from the cash register, detectives at the scene think robbery is the motive...but because of the violent nature of the crime...police aren't ruling out anything.
