An early morning fire in Manhattan left fifteen people homeless today. The blaze began shortly before six A-M in the first building and spread into two adjoining buildings. The three buildings suffered heavy smoke and water damage. There were no fatalities.
LEAD: Story Information: An early morning fire in Manhattan left fifteen people homeless today. The blaze began shortly before six A-M in the first building and spread into two adjoining buildings. The three buildings suffered heavy smoke and water damage. There were no fatalities. A second fire occurred later in the afternoon at two Chinatown apartment houses. It took two hours for firefighters to extinguish the second fire. Investigators say two fire fighters suffered minor injuries and no civilians were hurt.
