SOT WITH GREENPEACE ACTIVIST, VARIOUS SHOTS OF DRY CLEANING PROCESS
THE ENVIRONMENTAL GROUP GREENPEACE RELEASED A REPORT TODAY SAYING THE CHEMICALS USED IN DRY CLEANING POSE A HEALTH THREAT. THEY WANT TO BAN THE USE OF THE CHEMICALS. THEY CLAIM THE CHEMICAL USED IN THE PROCESS CAUSES CANCER AND OTHER HEALTH PROBLEMS SUCH AS LEUKEMIA AND REPRODUCTIVE DISORDERS. THE REPORT LISTS SEVERAL INDEPENDENT STUDIES THAT SHOW THE TOXIC EFFECTS OF PERCHLOROETHYLENE (PERC) ARE WORSE THAN PREVIOUSLY THOUGHT. IT SAID THAT EVEN FOOD FROM STORES OR HOMES NEAR DRY CLEANERS CONTAIN PERC LEVELS UP TO 800 TIMES HIGHER THAN NORMAL.
Not everything listed in the CONUS Archive is necessarily licensable. Reporter sound/image is not licensable
