THE ENVIRONMENTAL GROUP GREENPEACE IS TAKING ON THE OIL INDUSTRY IN ALASKA. GREENPEACE SAYS OIL REFINERIES ARE CAUSING DANGEROUSLY HIGH LEVELS OF AIR AND WATER POLLUTION...AND GOVERNMENT REGULATORS ARE DOING LITTLE TO STOP IT. THIS WEEK THE GREENPEACE FLAGSHIP "THE RAINBOW WARRIOR" ANCHORED OFF A UNOCAL OIL REFINERY...HANGING A BANNER FROM THE LOADING DOCK. GREENPEACE IS PROTESTING THE DUMPING OF TOXIC CHEMICALS INTO THE WATER. AND SAYS THE TOXINS ARE LIKE A 30 YEAR LONG TOXIC SPILL. GREENPEACE PROTESTERS ARRIVED IN ALASKA WATERS EARLIER LAST MONTH AND ARE SCHEDULED TO LEAVE NEXT MONTH.
