Description Authorities are searching for details on the kidnapped teenagers from Salt Lake City.
Script LEAD: Shocking news out of Russia. Two Mormon missionaries have been kidnapped. The Latter Day Saints chuech, the State Department, and Utah's Congressional delegation are aware and investigating, but news out of Russia is slow in coming. We do know the kidnapped missionaries were working in the Samara Mission, several hundred miles east of Moscow. Michael Rawson has the story. [take pkg] SCRIPT: The Latter Day Saints church has released teh names of the kidnap victims--20 year old lee Propst from Lebanon, Oregon, and 20 year old Travis Tuttle of Gilbert, Arizona. I talked by phone today with Elder Tuttle's father, who says his son's fate is in Jesus's hands. SOT Steve Spencer from Salt Lake has just returned from a Russia mission. He thinks the motive is money, not religious or political. SOT
