Script LEAD: The St Louis Science Center has turned their exploradome into a giant landfill it's all a part of their newest exhibit called Earthquest the challenge begins Take VO Visitors get a chance to fight Toxicus, a monster of waste and learn the three R's recycle, reduce, and reuse Take SOT An average person creates four pounds of trash a day If you do the math, by the age of ten the average American creates 14-thousand pounds of trash About the same weight as an elephant The new interactive exhibit hopes to turn today's kids into tomorrow's recyclers Science Center officials say the push to recylce has been dying off in recent years and they hope to spark interest in the kids by making recycling fun!
