Description A STOLEN CAR LEADS TO A SLOW SPEED CHASE AND A STANDOFF BEFORE ENDING PEACEFULLY.
Script INFO: Los Angeles police were led on a chase today after a man in a white blazer then drove into a city park where he held police at bay for over 2 hours. Officers surrounded the vehicle with side arms drawn on the driver. It is unclear whether the man had a gun or not. SWAT members then handed the suspect a phone attached to a long pole in order to talk him out of the car. The standoff was more dramatic than the chase, which was done at relatively safe speeds. Authorities say the suspect is a local gang member.
