A FIERY CRASH FRIDAY CLOSES THE TUSCARORA TUNNEL ON THE PENNSYLVANIA TURNPIKE.
A FIERY CRASH CLOSES THE PENNSYLVANIA TURNPIKE FOR SEVERAL HOURS FRIDAY. (TAKE VO - SILENT) OFFICIALS SAY AROUND 7-AM A TRACTOR TRAILER CROSSED A MEDIAN AND SLAMMED INTO A MAINTENANCE ROOM AT THE MOUTH OF A TUNNEL. THE DRIVER WAS KILLED. THE CRASH KNOCKED OUT LIGHTS AND VENTILATION TO THE TUNNEL. TRAFFIC WAS REROUTED ALL DAY WHILE EMERGENCY CREWS WORKED. THE TURNPIKE REOPENED 12-HOURS LATER. THE CRASH HAPPENED IN SOUTH CENTRAL PENNSYLVANIA, ABOUT 70 MILES FROM HARRISBURG. RECAP
