Script THE PUSH IS ON TO COMPLETE REPAIRS TO THE PENTAGON BEFORE THE ANNIVERSARY OF THE SEPTEMBER 11TH ATTACKS AND IN UPSTATE NEW YORK A HENRIETTA COMPANY IS DOING ITS SHARE, BUILDING THE NEW DOORS FOR THE PENTAGON BUT AS LYNETTE ADAMS TELLS US, THESE ARE NO ORDINARY DOORS! (SOT YETTER: Who'd have thought that someone in Rochester New York's going to be manufacturing bullet resistance doors for the Pentagon) ON SEPTEMBER 11TH, LIKE MANY AMERICANSWORKERS HERE AT OAKWOOD CLASSIC AND CUSTOM WOODWORKSWATCHED AS PLANES CRASHED INTO THE WORLD TRADE CENTER AND THE PENTAGON ALMOST A YEAR LATER, THESE SAME PEOPLE ARE MAKING DOORS TO REBUILD THE PENTAGON (NAT SND) THESE DOORS ARE ANYTHING BUT ORDINARY THEY ARE BULLETPROOF MADE WITH KEVLAR THE WORK HIGHLY SPECIALIZED (STANDUP: This is what the Kevlar looks like That's installed to make the doors bulletproof This is also bulletproof glass that's used in the doors All of this makes these doors really heavy They weigh 250 pounds and they're two and a half inches thick) OAKWOOD IS A 12 YEAR OLD COMPANY THAT MAKES WOOD DOORS AND CUSTOM MOLDING IT WON THE GOVERNMENT CONTRACT ONLY WEEKS AGO AND THE PUSH WAS ON TO MANUFACTURE 33 DOORS AS QUICKLY AS POSSIBLE (SOT: I can speak for the whole shop when I say this is one of the most rewarding jobs we've done here I'm sure when the World Trade Center rebuilds, we'll be right there to provide doors and millwork for that as well white oak doors) WORKERS HAVE GLADLY PUT IN OVERTIME TO COMPLETE THE PROJECT (SOT JIM BARTH: I'm looking forward to watching the ceremony on TV so hopefully we'll be able to see our doors on the background and thatbrings a lot of pride to the company) AND TO ROCHESTER LYNETTE ADAMS, NEWS 10-NBC TAG: CONSTRUCTION CREWS ARE PUSHING TO FINISH THE PENTAGON IN TIME FOR A SPECIAL DEDICATION CEREMONY SEPTEMBER 11th RECAP
