a man who peppered a busy shopping mall with a semi-automatic rifle will spend 32-yeas in prison for his wild shooting spree. robert bonelli Jr. walked through the Hudson Valley Mall in February of 2005 methodically firing off about 60 rounds. two people were injured before the man ran out of ammunition and was tackled. Bonelli told the judge he never intended to harm anyone and blamed years of drug use and depression as the things that made him lose it. the judge didn't buy the stories saying he even reloaded the weapon and that shows he was in full control of what he was doing. Prosecutors also found journal entries that read things like, "The lonely man strikes with absolute rage", and "attack the unsuspecting like cattle in the slaughterhouse."
