[Title: The German retreat and the great Canadian Victory at the Battle of Arras, Part 1]: PAN of huge crater in middle of the road left by German soldiers to hamper Canadian advance. A soldier is visible coming out of crater carrying his bicycle. MS of remains of two houses exploding to allow construction of new road to bypass crater. MS of advance Canadian cyclist patrol greeted by villagers as it cycle through village towards camera. MS of villagers (mostly women and children) listening to British soldier reading them the news.
