Alarm clock on table beside bed ringing, showing 8 a.m. SV. Mr Davis puts arm out of bed and feels for alarm clock to stop it. He succeeds to stop clock and puts arm back in bed. CU. Alarm clock starts to ring again and Mr Davis puts both arms out of bed to reach over and close the alarm clock into its case (natural sound of alarm clock fades here). Mr Davis has covered his face over again, to continue to sleep. LV. Mr Davis starts to sit up and yawn and stretch. CU. Mr Davis rubbing his eyes and stretching his arms. SV. Mr Davis stretching his arms, he reaches round to press bell for his breakfast to be brought in. CU. Hand pressing bell. LV. Mrs Davis walks into bedroom with breakfast tray which she places on bed by Mr Davis. He rubs his hands. BV. Mrs Davis opening bedroom curtains. AS. From outside, Mrs Davis opens the window. CU.
