Interior. L/S of a group of glamorous trainee models sat in two rows. Couturier Ronald Patterson stands at the front of the room by a desk, the first model, Liatt, walks round from the back up to the table, Ronald leans over and picks up a pair of spectacles from the table. He hands them to Liatt who puts them on, she then turns and shows them to the other ladies. M/S of Liatt as she poses in the gold horn-rimmed glasses with leaf motif. The narrator says the idea is to use spectacles as a fashion accessory in the same way as jewellery. Ronald takes the spectacles from Liatt and holds them up to her brocade bouffant dress in orange and gold to show they match the colour. Liatt walks away and the next model, Susan, comes up to the table, she is wearing a black velvet outfit. He gives her a pair of spectacles which she puts on and turns to the ladies watching. M/S of Susan wearing the black Martian spectacles decorated with gold.

M/S of the ladies watching and making notes. C/U of spectacles on the table, there are a mixture of styles and colours, Ronald's hand moves in to pick up a white pair with thick uneven horn-rims. M/S of Ronald and a model called Jean taking the spectacles from him and putting them on. The narrator says they are 'tear drop' style, these are to match her honey coloured lace dress. C/U of Jean wearing the spectacles, she smiles and glances at the camera. M/S of the ladies in the audience watching and talking.

M/S of a model named Ann in a black fox fur hat putting on some frames with a black and grey leaf motif, they come up to a high point at either side. C/U of Ronald's face as he watches her. L/S of Ronald stood with a new model called Jean in a new design of red chiffon dress called 'Cha-Cha', some of the ladies in the class are also in the frame. Jean puts the spectacles on and twirls around to stand in front of a green curtain. M/S of Jean in the gold bubble spectacles. She takes them off and smiles.

The narrator says that choosing the right pair of spectacles to match the occasion is so important that it is being included in the syllabus at The Lucie Clayton Mannequin School.

M/S of the table with the spectacles on. A vanity case with brown leather trimmings is placed on the table, the camera moves up to show Susan dressed in a heavy tweed coat and hat with brown leather trimmed spectacles to match. C/U of her face wearing the spectacles, the leather and canvas side pieces are visible as are the metal studs at the front. C/U of a lady with dark hair in the class smiling.

M/S of Liatt wearing a bright red coat and a darker hat with a matching band around the front. She is wearing bright red spectacles to match, she takes them off to reveal the side pieces which are shaped like ribbons, she looks closely at them and runs her fingers over the sides. M/S of two blonde girls looking at the scene. M/S of Susan in a blue hat and fur coat, she puts on a pair of spectacles which are in the 'kiss' style, they have an unusual shape with wavy side pieces and frames which cross over at the front.

C/U of Jean's hand wearing a white glove and holding a brown handbag, the camera moves up to show her wearing a green and white tweed 'motoring outfit', which is a heavy coat and small hat. M/S on her face, she is wearing a pair of thick, square bamboo spectacles. She turns her head and smiles.
