London. L/S of the Houses of Parliament. Prime Minister Stanley Baldwin walks out of 10 Downing Street with his Parliamentary Private Secretary Geoffrey Lloyd. Various shots as he walks to the Palace of Westminster where parliament has been recalled a week early to discuss foreign situation. People gather to watch.

Dalkeith, near Edinburgh, Scotland. L/S of the Buccleuch Memorial Chapel, camera pans down to show people attending the funeral of the Duke of Buccleuch. L/S of Prince Henry, Duke of Gloucester, walking with his fiancee Alice Scott. Various shots as mourners file into the church. M/S as the Prince Henry's car drives away afterwards and others walk from the church.

France. M/S of the French President's palace. M/S of the man himself Mr Albert Lebrun on his horse, he is giving a shooting party but not joining in the shooting. M/S as the beaters walk through the grass. C/U as Monsieur Camille Blaisot, Secretary of State, shoots his rifle and a pheasant drops out of the sky. C/U of Marcel Regnier, Minister of Finance, doing the same.

C/U as Polish Ambassador Monsieur de Chlapowski takes his shot. M/S of Prince Louis Grimaldi of Monaco stood with General Braconnier. M/S of Sir George Clark, British Ambassador, taking his shot. M/S as the pheasants are laid on the ground in rows. Various shots as the men chat to each other and hold up the birds.

Various shots of the wreaths and floral anchors as well as greenery wrapped around the lion statues. M/S of floral tributes laid at a memorial in Liverpool. M/S as the mayor inspects boys of Liverpool's seamen's orphanage. He takes the salute as they march past.

Windsor, Berkshire. M/S of a man pushing a lawn roller slowly along a lane, members of the Eton motoring club in an old car wave him on. He is Charles Hester, groundsman of Beaumont College Old Windsor, and he is taking his test so he can push the roller along the road from the college to the playing fields. He has to make the appropriate road signals, M/S as he goes along the road with a Learner's sign on his roller. Various shots as he is overtaken by cars from the motoring club. He passes the test.
