Established in 2000, Global ImageWorks (GIW) is an independent footage and photo licensing company that was built by researchers for researchers.

The Global ImageWorks’ footage collection is a deep content archive encompassing both historic and contemporary footage from documentary filmmakers, film collections, travelogues, and a wide variety of other productions. GIW is the exclusive licensing agent for Premium Collections including The Dick Cavett Show, Austin City Limits, The History of Rock ‘n Roll Interviews, Films of Robert Mugge, The Films of Les Blank, and Inside The Actor’s Studio.

GIWPhotos has over 200,000 historic and contemporary images carefully curated to complement GIW’s footage collections. GIWPhotos Premium Collection includes noted photographers Barry Feinstein, Henry Diltz, Amalie R. Rothschild, Jason Laure, Jim Prue, Vangelis Rassias, and others. GIWPhotos collection spans turn of the 20th century to the present to include global conflict, automotive, red carpet moments, fashion trends, world cultures, science and technology and other fun and fascinating photography.
