HANSEN MURDER TRIAL VERDICT (09/14/1995)
IT TOOK NEARLY 40 YEARS FOR FORMER STABLE OWNER KENNETH HANSEN TO STAND TRIAL FOR KILLING THREE YOUNG BOYS IN 1955. HE WAS ACCUSED OF KILLING THE BOYS AFTER LURING THEM TO HIS HORSE STABLE IN OCTOBER OF 1955. WEDNESDAY NIGHT, IT TOOK THE JURY LESS THAN TWO HOURS TO FIND HIM GUILTY OF MURDER ON ALL COUNTS. THE 62-YEAR-OLD WAS ALSO ACCUSED OF SEXUALLY MOLESTING THE VICTIMS BEFORE THEY WERE STRANGLED. THREE COUNTS OF MURDER IN THE SEX SLAYINGS OF 14-YEAR-OLD ROBERT PETERSON AND JOHN AND ANTON SCHUESSLER, 13 AND 11.
