A man in a red pickup truck led police on a hundred minute chase through Los Angeles late on Monday afternoon.
Authorities apprehended the man after another driver assisted police by blocking the man's car with their own vehicle.
Several local television stations filmed the entire scene.
The man, who's name has not been released, led police on a pursuit that went through Hollywood, Cahuenga Pass, Silverlake, Griffith Park and other neighborhoods in Los Angeles for over an hour and fourty-five minutes on Monday afternoon.
The pursuit started just before 1700 hours in the Rampart patrol area and ended with an arrest in Woodland Hills.
Police finally apprehended the driver at an intersection when the man - blocked in by another vehicle - jumped out of the truck and tried to run away. He was brought down quickly and handcuffed without resistance, and led away.
The chase wound through streets and highways, with most cars pulling out of the way to let the truck and police through.
At one intersection, however, an unidentified man jumped out of his own truck, and tried to pull the suspect out of the vehicle.
He was forced to jump off after the suspect sped off down the street.
The entire chase was broadcast by several local news organizations as both helicopters and ground crews covered the chase.
It is unknown whether the man has been charged and what offences he may face in court.
