Red hartebeest drinking
Red hartebeest (Alcelaphus buselaphus caama) antelope drinking at a man-made waterhole. This antelope inhabits grassland and savannah in sub-Saharan Africa. The name derives from the distinctive heart shape formed by the curve of the horns when viewed from the front. It lives in large herds that often contain other antelopes and zebras. Both sexes have horns. It mainly feeds on grasses. Filmed in a remote region, amongst the dunes, of the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park.
