Several scrambling motorbikes over hilly dirt track. Spectators watch on, some smoking. Cars seen parked on field. Many shots cover one race. Start of another race past line, some crash. Marshalls with flags. Spectators eating whilst watching race. Children rather play than watch. Group spectators sit back of truck. Close up of racing. Hill climbs, some bikes stall and steam up. One falls off.

C/U of an officer in a crash helmet shouting (probably officer commanding the team - Captain H. Taylor. A straw arch is set alight. C/U of a booted foot starting a motorbike engine. L/S of a motorbike jumping through the burning hoop. <br/> <br/>According to the narrator, all the stories in this issue were also supposedly filmed at the 1962 Royal Tournament - this is confusing as paperwork suggest they were filmed at different locations... <br/> <br/>(I think the idea is that this is Pathe's version of an outdoor Royal Tournament, with contributions from around the country - SL.) Skiers hold onto reins that are attached to motorcycles in the winter sport called skijoring. They reach high speeds and sometimes crash.
Brain injury, MRI scan sequence
Brain injury. Coloured axial MRI sequence of brain scans showing intracranial abnormalities of a male 23-year-old motorcycle crash patient. Similar to clip K003 4419 but with cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) showing as black. Multiple haematomas (localised collections of blood, white with a black lining) are seen, along with an abnormality in the basal ganglia. Fluid is present in the para-nasal air sinuses and mastoid air cells. The brain injuries and spinal fractures from the accident proved fatal in this case. For original see clip number K003 4416.
