The files of Congresswoman Pat Schroeder are headed to the library at Colorado University in Boulder. It is an immense chronicle of Schroeder's 24 years in Congress. Today, the Congresswoman talked with University leaders about the papers, and what they mean to her. She says there are certainly some "fascinating nugget's" people will uncover. The papers are still being boxed up in Washington, and will be here in the next couple of months. However, the papers, which date back to 1972, will be sealed until the year 2-thousand-6. The Congresswoman says it's to protect herself from potential lawsuits. What does the Congresswoman consider the most interesting part of her files? She says it's anything dealing with the Armed Services Committee. Schroeder had plenty of back room fights over the military so it could prove interesting to see what she says about the Pentagon in her papers.
