Another comes out the front door with crutches, wearing a leg cast. A mother sits in a chair and crochets before looking at a photo of her son. Elementary school children play by a busy intersection. Legs are shown running, a child lies as though dead in the street, children on the sidewalk are shocked, and a 1940s ambulance picks up the body (1:06-3:50). Individual boys wearing white safety patrol shoulder belts with a silver badge hold AAA STOP paddles; one stands in front of a 1940s Buick Roadmaster (5:45-5:22).
