Skywalk, which opened on Tuesday, is a 160-metre (525-feet) circuit running around the Sydney Tower and includes glass floors at two places, giving stomach-turning views of Sydney. The new attraction launched by Tourism Minister Sandra Nori and Everest climber Peter Hillary, is more than twice as high as the immensely popular walk to the top of Sydney Harbour Bridge. Ticket prices range from 109 to 139 Australian dollars (US dollars 82 to 104) for adults. Two groups of 15 visitors, dressed in blue and yellow overalls and connected at all times to a safety rail, will be guided along the steel walkway at any one time. The platforms, which are surrounded by chest-high glass and steel walls, can hold a weight of up to 8.1 tons.

RUN THE WORLD MARATHON 2013
Run the world - seven ultra marathons on seven continents in seven days Fresh from winning the Antarctic Ice Marathon Doctor Andrew Murray, the Scottish Government's Physical Activity Champion has completed his epic attempt to complete seven ultra marathons on seven continents in seven days. Incredibly, the Antarctic Ice marathon was a mere warm-up to his attempt to run the world. This Challenge started just over 24 hours after his Ice Marathon victory, running another 50Km on the Antarctic Ice before hopping on a plane to his next destination in Chile for the next leg. Having completed this leg he flew to the next continent to do another run in Atlanta. Ultra marathons are longer than the traditional marathon distance of 26.2 miles (42.19km) and Andrew ran 50 Km (31.0686 miles) at each location. Since Andrew was wearing a GPS tracking device, supporters were able to follow his progress during the challenge. After Atlanta the next stop was London but flying between continents with little time to rest on the flight was proving exhausting and stressful and having completed the London leg Andrew literally had to run to the international departure gate at Heathrow to make his next flight connection to Cairo. Andrew had hoped to get plenty of rest on the international flights but in reality he only managed a couple of hours sleep on some routes and as a result was profoundly tired. After Cairo, with the splendor of the Pyramids in the distance, the penultimate leg was in Dubai and despite his utter exhaustion he managed to stay on track. Running in the evening in Dubai was a help; with temperatures being consistently around 26 Celsius. By now, Andrew had experienced a huge range of conditions often moving between extremes of temperatures and terrain. The final leg saw Andrew running in Sydney, Australia taking in the iconic landmarks of the Harbour Bridge and Opera House. In the end he managed to run the world in 5 days 13 hours and 28 minutes, given the movement across the time zones. In part he owes his success to some of the running mates that joined him along the way. As a Doctor he was well equipped to manage the physical pain and injuries of the challenge but found that the mental exhaustion was hardest to conquer. At the end it was his sheer determination that enabled him to continue, focusing on just putting one foot in front of another. At the finish, elation and exhaustion proved a heady combination. Dr Murray, is the Scottish Government’s physical activity champion and did the challenge to raise money and inspire people to become more active. Inspired by his achievement, he hoped people would walk, run or cycle 5km (three miles) each day he was away on the adventure, which they did in their hundreds.
