HURRICANE ERIN VICTIM'S RAFT FOUND (08/08/1995)
THE COAST GUARD HAS FOUND THE RUBBER RAFT BELONGING TO A MISSING GEORGIA MAN AND HIS DAUGHTER. THE PUNCTURED AND DEFLATED RAFT WAS FOUND LATE SUNDAY NIGHT ON THE BEACH IN DESTIN, IN OKALOOSA COUNTY, ON THE FLORIDA PANHANDLE. THAT'S ABOUT 80 MILES WEST OF WHERE FRANK STADLER, 46, AND HIS DAUGHTER, MEAGAN, 9, OF THOMASTON GEORGIA WERE LAST SEEN ALIVE LAST WEDNESDAY WHEN HURRICANE ERIN STRUCK FLORIDA'S GULF COAST. COAST GUARD OFFICIALS SAY THE RAFT WAS IDENTIFIED BY IT'S SERIAL NUMBERS. OFFICIALS ALSO HAVE LITTLE HOPE THAT THE TWO ARE STILL ALIVE.
