Investigators are searching for a man who robbed an Augusta pharmacy. But the CVS on Walton Way was not an easy target.Employees gave the robber a run for his money. A pharmacist at took matters into his own hands and fired several shots at the robber when he realized what was happening.Richmond County investigators released surveillance video from the robbery. The man, dressed in all black, walked into the store, pointing a gun at the clerk and demanded money. Investigators say he asked the clerk if the pharmacy was open. That's when the video shows him running towards the pharmacy. The pharmacist was waiting in the back with a loaded gun and fired several shots at him.Deputies say they don't advise people to fight against someone who's armed because more people could get hurt.“It's unusual and it's not something we like for people to do we don't want people to get into a confrontation when they are armed it could cause other people to get hurt,” said Sgt. Calvin Chew, Richmond County Sheriff’s Office.Customers were in the store at the time of the robbery. No one was hurt during the robbery.
