Afghanistan: Doctor's Mission
Afghanistan: Doctor's Mission Juliette Fournot is a French doctor who leads medical pack trains into the mountains of Afghanistan, bringing medicines and supplies to villagers isolated by geography and war. Her extraordinary video insights to Afghanistan were recorded on one of Dr. Fournot's, four-month journeys by mule train into the mountains of the Hindu Kush. Crossing snow-covered passes at fifteen thousand feet and working in underground hospitals, her video dispatches allow a rare access to a people and country isolated by war.
Women in Afghanistan
In Kabul, Afghan women dressed in traditional clothing gather in a public square. Even after Taliban forces withdraw from villages and towns, women in Afghanistan still face challenges in obtaining education, work, and childcare. Soviet-Afghan War
Footage of the Soviet-Afghan was seen from the Soviet perspective. The Black Tulip is what the ""Afgantsi"" - the Soviet soldiers who fought in Afghanistan - call the plane that carried the bodies back to the Soviet Union. Opening at a Soviet army base in Kabul, the film visits an attack helicopter squadron, a firebase outside Kabul, and a guardpost near Kandahar. Then the film moves to the monument to the war dead of WWII beside the Kremlin wall, to a Moscow cemetery filled with dead from the Afghan war, and finally, to the heartbreak of a mother of one of the dead soldiers. Includes great footage of the country of Afghanistan and is a strong complement to our other footage showing the situation in Afghanistan from the Mujahadeen perspective.

33084 B-57 SINGLE ENGINE LANDING - B57 Canberra Aircraft Landing and Crash Landing
A confidential film made by the Glenn L. Martin Company, this movie shows emergency landing procedures for a B-57 Canberra aircraft. In one instance, the pilot makes a successful landing but in another he does not, with fatal results. The Martin B-57 Canberra was a United States-built, twin jet engine tactical bomber and reconnaissance aircraft, which entered service with the United States Air Force (USAF) in 1953. The B-57 was initially a version of the English Electric Canberra built under licence. However, the Glenn L. Martin Company significantly modified the design and produced several unique variants. The last Canberra retired in 1983. The last two remaining flight worthy WB-57Fs are technically assigned to the NASA Johnson Space Center at Ellington Field, Houston, Texas as high altitude scientific research aircraft, but are also used in a testing and war-fighting capability in both the U.S. and Middle East, specifically Afghanistan.
