This reel of silent 16mm film consists of color and b&w American home movies shot in the mid-to-late 1940s and through the 1950s or early 1960s. Some of the more interesting segments are from WWII era, including aerial footage and a flight with a 3-star General, and recreation at a guarded beach on a military base. We scan for that microchip and when we hear that little beep, its always such a relief to know that theres a possibility that we can hook that animal up with an owner, Swanson noted.
\n

\n
However, Swanson told Western Mass News that just getting the chip isnt enough. Thanks to keeping accurate information on his microchip file, Whiskey is finally home.
\n

\n
This family did exactly what they should have done, Swanson said.
\n

\n
Keeping up-to-date records is what led to their happy reunion.
\n

\n
I recognized so fast because he look the same, just a little bit bigger and so thats it. JOCK WALKER
No titles. Comedian Jock Walker.

Pathe Studio, London.

On a set dressed to look like an inn or pub we see Jock Walker sitting at a table with another man. The barman brings them both a pint and sits down to listen to Jock telling jokes. He talks about Scotch collie dog who was given a penny each day and would go into the village to get a roll for his breakfast. The dog stopped going to the kennel for five days, then went with all the pennies and bought back seven rolls for sixpence.

Then Jock talks about a minister preaching to a wealthy but mean congregation in Aberdeen. In the middle of his address for more money a piece of plaster fell on the head of a man who was listening. The man offered the minister £5 and the minister said "Oh Lord, hit 'im again!".

Jock speaks about a minister who visited a woman. The woman offered him a cup of tea and he said "No tea"; a cup of coffee and he said "No coffee"; a cup of cocoa and he said "No cocoa". Finally she offered him a whiskey and soda and he said "No soda!". Jock and his pals think all his jokes are very funny.

Jock then stands up and sings 'Auld Lang Syne' (or a version of it!). The two men stand up and join in the last chorus.

Note: item is out of synch throughout due to early sound recording.
