INSIDE BIOSPHERE II (1990)
THE BIOSPHERE PROJECT IN THE ARIZONA DESERT HAS RISEN TO NATIONAL ATTENTION IN THE PAST FEW MONTHS. BUT MANY PEOPLE MAY NOT KNOW WHAT LIFE WILL BE LIKE FOR THE SCIENTISTS INSIDE BIOSPHERE ONCE THE DOORS ARE SEALED SHUT IN MARCH. FOR INSTANCE, PROJECT PARTICIPANTS WILL HAVE TO SPEND TWO TO SIX HOURS A DAY GROWING THEIR OWN FOOD...AND WHAT ABOUT AIR AND WATER? ONCE THE DOOR IS SEALED, THE SCIENTISTS WILL HAVE TO RECYCLE BOTH. THEY WILL ALSO HAVE FIVE WILD ENVIRONMENTS WITHIN THEIR NEW HOME...INCLUDING A DESERT, A 30 FT. DEEP OCEAN COMPOSED OF WATER FROM THE PACIFIC, A TROPICAL RAIN FOREST, A SALT MARSH, AND EVEN A SAVANNAH GRASSLAND.
