In the Olympic year of 1936, Berlin presents itself adorned with festive flags, featuring the current design of black swastikas in a white circle on a red background. 01:00 The Victory Column at the Great Star of 1873 and the Brandenburg Gate with the Quadriga — the city's landmarks — greet the youth of the world, strolling in groups through the broad streets in awe. 01:32 The radio tower and transmitter broadcast the events of the 11th Olympics directly to all radio stations on the continent. "The Leader and Chancellor Adolf Hitler opens the 11th Olympic Games in 1936 at the Olympic Stadium." 01:59 In the people's consciousness, Berlin is Germany's most important city, and 'Under the Linden' is one of its magnificent streets. 02:14 A special spectacle is the changing of the guard at the memorial. 02:33 The baroque transformation of Berlin Palace was carried out around 1700 by Andreas Schlüter. 03:12 As the intellectual center of Germany, Berlin concentrates art and science in a special way, leading to creative power due to its location. 03:51 The alternating landscapes along the Spree River and the pulsating urban rhythm, as seen here in Alexanderplatz, give Berlin its special charm. 04:31 Visitors appreciate the joy of life among Berliners and the fun of dancing between Molle with a shot (Berliner Weißbier) and sweet cake. 05:45 And the youth marches for the Leader, believing in a better future. 06:22 Planning and design bring new accents to the cityscape. 07:15 A visit to the zoo brings new encounters with animals, while at Wannsee, one experiences the pleasures of bathing as a surge of the masses. 08:09 In the Reich Air Ministry—the seat of Minister Hermann Göring—the fate of the German people, as well as the future, is substantially determined.

Basics of nuclear fusion, animation
Animation illustrating the basics of nuclear fusion. This simulation demonstrates deuterium-tritium (D-T) fusion, where neutrons are shown in blue and protons in red. When the kinetic energy of deuterium (one proton, two neutrons) and tritium (one proton, three neutrons) nuclei is high enough, they can come close enough to bond through nuclear force. This results in the production of helium (two protons, two neutrons) and a neutron. Helium's two protons require much higher temperatures for the fusion of heavier elements, as seen in massive stars. Fusion reactors are designed to achieve nuclear fusion through D-T fusion, where deuterium and tritium fuse under extreme temperatures and pressures, yielding helium and a neutron while releasing significant energy. D-T fusion is favoured for controlled thermonuclear fusion due to its high reaction rate at relatively lower temperatures. Nuclear fusion occurs when two light atomic nuclei combine to form a heavier nucleus, releasing substantial energy (white flashes). The process requires overcoming the repulsive Coulomb force between positively charged nuclei, which is facilitated by high temperatures. Elements with lower atomic numbers, like hydrogen isotopes, are primarily used in experimental fusion reactors because they require less energy to fuse.
