Ice Arena is gradually taking shape. Ingenious support system for the arena's roof (5:42-8:45). Ice Arena sketches. Model of the area. Ice hockey game and figure skating takes place. Cross country course is prepared with machinery. Men on skis then follow to make sure the snow is packed (21:20-23:16). A machine will make sure there is no hard crust and grind it up into a fine powder. A man does cross country skiing very fast. A race featuring cross country skiers. The biathlon combines cross-country skiing and rifle shooting. The contestant with the shortest total time wins. Missed shots result in time being added to the total. Rifles are fired at targets. Cross country skiing continues (23:17-24:50). On a rink, ice is cleaned up. Speed skating races. People watch. North American Ski Championships. Men do the ski jumps.
