In Centennial Park in Atlanta, a pipe bomb suddenly goes off at a concert during the 1996 summer Olympic games. The bombing resulted in one immediate fatality and over 100 injuries as the explosion releases nails and screws into the air. At a nearby facility, a German television journalist interviews American swimmer Janet Evans. At the sound of the explosion, they express shock and run for cover. A man checks his wife to see if she is injured. An eyewitness describes what he saw to a reporter and another attendee makes a panicked call to her family on a cell phone.
