After twenty years in a cage...chimps in San Antonio are getting their first taste of freedom. These cute primates have spent the last twenty years in a researcy laboratory. The chimps are called the "Buckshire Twelve"...they've been named after teh Pennsylvania medical testing facility they spent most of their lives in.Their freedom comes as part of a new push to retire lab animals from research...instead of killing them when the research is over.The new facility "Primary Primates" will now take the chimps in and care for them for the rest of their lives. The south Texas facility is the only one of its kind in the nation.
