A police car pulls up to a stalled car on the shoulder of a freeway. Passengers pull items out of the stalled car. A large semi-truck skids into the car and rams it into the freeway guard rail.

A police officer pulls over a vehicle for expired license plates and proceeds to argue with the driver. After a while, the driver attempts to escape the cop, but is captured. The passenger in the vehicle pulls out a gun and begins shooting at the officers. After firing his gun, the suspect flees the scene. The driver attempts to fight one of the officers before getting into his car. One of the officers attempts to hang onto the car as the suspect drives off, but he looses grip. The officer fires his gun at the car as it speeds away.

Highway 407 is the only toll road in Ontario, Canada. It runs north of the Greater Toronto area from Burlington to Clarington. The way it works is that motorists entering the highway at controlled access ramps will pass under a camera that records their licence plate. The plate will be recorded again when they exit the highway. The distance that they traveled will be calculated so that a computer generated toll bill can be sent to the registered owner of the vehicle. Some motorists install licence plate covers that make their plate unreadable from an angle, yet they are transparent enough that the plate can be read from directly behind or in front. Others put dirt on their plates.
