A dog was rescued by neighbors after its owner made an apparent attempt to kill it. Police believe this dog's owner put him in a bag, stuffed him under a house and left him to die. But as you can see, Vinny the one year old beagle is okay tonight. He's gained 10 pounds since coming to a South Kansas City animal medical center. But it's still been a long road to recovery. Vinny had been stuffed into a garbage bag and left to die. The landlord of the property found Vinnie behind the house, starving in the bag, his body temperature 10 degrees below normal. 27 year old Scott Klasinski is charged with two counts of cruelty to animals. If convicted he could spend two years in jail and pay a fine.
