Riding on this success, a new movie, Sleeping with the Dead, has just been completed in Hong Kong and expected to be a blockbuster in this summer. The movie is starring with famous movie stars from Hong Kong and Taiwan. Led by Hong Kong singer Jordan Chan Siu-chun and Taiwanese actress Kelly Lin Hsi-Lei, the movie is delving on the supernatural ability of people seeing ghosts. Although the production cost is just about usd $ 512, 000, Director Chang Wei-man is very ambitious that the movie will become a classical example of Hong Kong horror movie. He criticized Hong Kong ghost movies, unlike Japanese and Korean, for lacking unique style and characteristics. Two friends of David's are reported dead with unknown reasons; however, both have the same disgusting acid burns on their faces. As the story goes on, Cindy is in fact a ghost who is seeking revenge from them because they raped, killed and buried her behind the wall of an apartment complex many years ago. It is not surprising that low-budget and fast are the characteristics of Hong Kong movie industry. shooting of the movie just took up about 1 ½ months time. Written and produced by Simon Lui Yu-yeung, the movie has already received a handful number of orders from Asian film distributors. He argued that the idea of seeing ghost in this movie is not a copycat from the previous movie -such as "The eye (Hong Kong)" and the "Sixth sense" "I think every leading character in ghost movie sees ghost.
