Lengthy sequence comprised of several shots from different angles of John Diefenbaker's casket being removed from the Parliament Buildings by Royal Canadian Mounted Police pallbearers and placed in a hearse. Various shots of the cortège, led by mounted RCMP officers making its way from Parliament Hill to Christ Church Cathedral. The RCMP pallbearers march on each side of the hearse. A bearer walks behind the hearse carrying one of Diefenbaker's decorations. Mourners led by Prime Minister Joe Clark also follow the hearse. Citizens line the streets along which the cortège passes.
