The British Normandy Memorial is a memorial to the Second World War, located above the site of Gold Beach in the commune of Ver-sur-Mer in Normandy, France. It was inaugurated on June 6, 2021, the 77th anniversary of the Normandy landings. It is dedicated to the soldiers who died under British command during this landing. The memorial commemorates the names of the 22,442 officers and soldiers under British command who were killed in Normandy from June 6 to August 31, 19441. They were of more than thirty different nationalities.
